Showcase your research or practical experience to leading industry experts from around the world.

If your research relates to one of the five conference themes, we encourage you to share your insights at the summit. If your abstract is accepted, you will have the opportunity to present your work as either an oral presentation or a poster, based on evaluation by the scientific committee.

Submission deadline: 24 August 2027

Themes

1. Understanding Sow Mortality

Why and when we lose sows across the production cycle

2. Improving the Next Generation of Sows

How gilt development influences longevity and lifetime performance

3. Improving Sow Survival

Key risk factors affecting sow survival in modern production

4. Managing Sow Health Around Farrowing

Understanding risks during one of the most critical production phases

5. Improving Lactation and Piglet Life

How lactation performance and piglet life affect the next reproductive cycle

Guidelines

We welcome abstracts presenting both research and well-documented practical experience from the field.

Abstracts should address one of the five topics listed above.

All abstracts must be written in English
Abstracts must be submitted as a Word document
The abstract should not exceed one A4 page
(Font: Times New Roman, 9 pt; headings in bold italics; body text in 9 pt; keywords separated by commas)

The abstract must be structured under the following headings:

Full title
Authors and affiliations
Introduction
Material and methods
Results and discussion
Conclusion and implications
Acknowledgements (if applicable)
References

Abstracts may include tables and figures.

Please:

Select one of the five topics when submitting your abstract
Indicate your preferred presentation format (oral or poster)

Presentation

A selection of abstracts will be chosen for oral presentation
(10 minutes presentation + 5 minutes Q&A).
Accepted abstracts not selected for oral presentation will be presented as posters during the conference.
Final decisions regarding presentation format will be made no later than 15 September 2026.
